josanpq and I will be arriving in Toronto on Thursday, August 2nd...around noon. We are staying at the Sheraton.

Now, neither one of us signed up for the Welcoming (Thursday 5:45pm-7:15pm) nor the Leaving Breakfast feast (Sunday 9am-11am). Since we are in downtown Toronto we figure there would be better restaurants around.

Anyone up to get together for Thursday dinner and a Sunday breakfast?

I have an avi file and it is too big to put on a dvd. I would like to split it into two viewable avi files and thus put it into two separate dvds. hjsplit can split the file but they won't be viewable programs. Can anyone suggest a program I may use?

Okay, there are several fics that I need to rec.

1. jadntonic has updated her fic Bad Faith. Chapter 5 is up and what a lovely chapter it is.

This is the brief summary the author has used for her story: Four years after Dumbledore's death, Draco Malfoy shows up on the doorstep of number twelve, Grimmauld Place looking for Harry Potter. Torn between his selfish cowardice and family's pride, Draco finds himself alone on a battlefield and has nowhere else to turn; and Harry has to learn that sometimes you don't put up walls to keep other people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

If you are a HP/DM fan of well plotted, deep characterisation, and lovely artwork then read jadntonic's story. You won't be disappointed.

For some reason I thought anti-freeze was blue. And, why would anyone want to compare someone's eyes to the colour of anti-freeze?

Yesterday and today have been somewhat lousy work days.

And I would probably be feeling more blue if it weren't for the fact that osiness has made a poster for my Snape/Lupin story Pax Romana. It is absolutely beautiful.

The other key thing is that I just got the best feedback for my Conner meets Lena story.

Those things raised in the feedback were things that I was actually thinking about and it's awesome when somebody else gets your writing.

My only problem is how to I respond? I have suddenly become shy and my Clark muse, that big alien freak is grinning like hell, and the like.

The third thing is that just last night I discovered this HP/DM writer jadntonic. I believe she is new to the fandom and I love her two on-going stories: Bad Faith and Catch 22.


She is also an artist and her stories include beautiful artwork.

Definitely recommend her work.

If it weren't for these three things I would be feeling absolutely miserable.

I added the cream. The sugar. Right amount. Tasted tested. Perfect.

I then dump the rest of the hot water, which I actually boiled, in a pot down the drain. I put my cup down and I went to get a cookie. Turn on the laptop, drank a bit of tea. Still hot, put it aside. Went to get my vitamin E. Came back to the desk, notice a small little fruit fly flying around. Went to kill it. Missed. Sat down, picked up my tea, looked down at my cup and noticed the damn fruit fly had committed suicide via hot tea.

WAH.....


And my tea was perfect. Perfect.

I've just attended a sword demostration. The kind of sword Methos' uses is actually not that heavy. It is heavy if it is used in a prolonged fight, and prolonge fights are rare but in a regular fighting timeline if you will, it is not that bad.

Was very surprise.

Maybe it was because they had been so busy saving the world from one alien invasion to another that no one in the hero community noticed when Roy Harper's daughter Lian befriended a young girl named Lena.

In all likelihood this ignorance would have continued had not two small black-haired pre-schoolers decided to both dress-up for Halloween as their favourite heroine, Hawkgirl.

On one bright October morning the two little girls eagerly rushed out of their limos and ran up the steps of their private academy. Once inside, they both took their identical masks and wings out of their Winnie-the-Pooh knapsacks. They sat together throughout the morning, talked and giggled like all four-year-olds do. After play, story-time and treats were shared, it was time for the children to be picked up by their parents or, in most cases, their caretakers or nannies.

Still wearing their costumes and masks, the girls ran down to their limos, identical black cars that stretched in their minds forever.

So sleepy were they from the treats and sweets that they each just quietly handed their wings and knapsacks to their nanny, climbed into the limos and car seats, and fell asleep as soon as they were buckled in.

It was only when they arrived at their separate homes, bundled up and carried to their beds that their masks were taken off and a horrifying discovery was made.

Heh, I am such a bad influence.

During the X-mas holiday, when I was down visiting my brother in the States I ended up watching Heroes, trying to play catch up to some of the episodes I had missed. I watched the show with my brother and later with my dad.

Well...

They are hooked.

Both are now fans of the show.

I have been playing with my new DVD burner and new external hard drive. I have been trying to save avi files into dvd or cd so I can watch it on my dvd player, and it doesn't fucken work!

I have tried Nero and 123 Copy DVD gold programs.

I wanna cry.

Today, I finally had time to open my mail.

First, let me just say that I totally love and adore lady_isabella.

When I opened my mail and saw what was inside I did this really bizaree hop, let out a squeal, and a lot of 'oh my gosh' followed by a few 'cool'.
